Shenan De Silva is a dedicated and experienced physiotherapist who brings a deep understanding of both high-performance sport and complex rehabilitation. He completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at La Trobe University in 2017, followed by a Master of Physiotherapy at Flinders University in Adelaide.
Since entering the profession in 2017, Shenan has worked across private practice settings, supporting a wide range of patients—from elite athletes recovering from injury to individuals managing chronic and complex pain conditions. His work within the NDIS sector has allowed him to develop a special interest in treating patients with diverse disabilities and complex presentations, from paediatric to geriatric populations.
A former international athlete in rugby and track events, Shenan understands firsthand the importance of tailored rehabilitation. His own journey through injury and recovery as a teenager, surrounded by physiotherapists, inspired his career path. This background gives him a unique perspective and deep empathy for his clients, fuelling his commitment to helping others regain and enhance their physical potential.
Shenan is passionate about empowering people—regardless of their starting point or ability level—to achieve meaningful progress. He strongly believes in the quote:
“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” – Arthur Ashe
Outside the clinic, Shenan is an avid reader with a strong interest in personal development. He enjoys meditation, calisthenics, and functional fitness as part of his own well-being routine, and he’s a keen long-distance runner with several marathons under his belt.
